When you’re looking for something specific on your iPad, you’ll find it fast with Spotlight Search. Flick to the right on the main Home screen to open Spotlight, type in a keyword, and search your iPad. Tap any result to go directly to a contact, play a song, open a calendar event, and more.Search inside apps.
Spotlight is also available inside many apps. Search names in Contacts; subject, sender, and recipient in Mail; and calendar events by subject, location, or attendees. Search all text in Notes. And search for albums, artists, or song titles in the iPod app. If the contact or email message you’re looking for isn’t on your iPad, you can continue your search on the server.* Search responds with all the results so you can display them on your iPad.
